It'll look crap. Look at any lowered Peugeot 206.

It'll look like you're accelerating rally hard, even when you're stopped! :pancake:

 

40 back and 60 rear looks good if you have a bit of weight in the boot

or just 40mm or 60mm all round.....

My van is 60mm on the front it is a harsh ride but i get no rubbing unless i'm cornering hard, which to be fair, in a van is'nt often.

"Apparently" the arse of an Escort tends to sink/squat a little more than the springs say so on a 40/40 the back ends up a little lower

 

So to go even lower on the back than the front, it will be double trouble and so obvious

 

a 60front 40rear is your best bet

heard causes loads of un even tyre wear ,tracking issues etc
No matter how low you go you will always get issues unless you change all the lower arms etc. and get the tracking done (and other things I can't remember)
