Posted April 12, 201014 yr Simple topic, who, and why? Opinion polls say its about 39% tory, 32% labour something % lib dem and 10% others (So I hpe to see less than 10% of replies being BNP or UKIP etc) Im voting Tory as usual, simply because they're ALL liars, but the tories "promise" more for the forces than the others, so that will improve my families life and that is all I care about.
April 12, 201014 yr i'm 33 and have never voted, they're all as useless as each other and i don't hear any party saying they'll make sure fuel is affordable and are keen on making sure that the money i earn stays in my pocket. These politicians and even our own local mp's don't live in the real world like the rest of us that struggle to keep our heads above water with rising costs of food, fuel, council tax, gas, water etc and piles of debt. They don't know what normality is like, therefore i won't be voting again this time either
April 12, 201014 yr same as you craig, ex navy and voted tory for the very same reason, now i am out they all p##s in the same pot, but think they tend to be a little more honest than the rest, tbh I only really vote, because i believe if you dont vote you cant moan about what they do
April 12, 201014 yr Simple topic, who, and why? Why're you hoping less than 10% will be UKIP? They're exactly who I'll be voting for. We need out of Europe, and we need out soon. Immigration is a problem regardless of how it's buttered up, but it's more of a problem from Eastern Europe as it can't be controlled unlike with Africa, India, Pakistan etc. The money side of it alone - an Eastern European earns a wage and sends 75% of it home to Poland, that's great for Poland as their economy will develop, but who replaces the money that has been sent back home to the motherland of Poland? If this is done on a large scale as it is currently the national economy will struggle, just like it is now as the money isn't being spent back into it. This isn't the only factor in all of this - but it's a contributing one. Then there's the fact that we're controlled by Brussels, we have some of the craziest laws known to man, we are all about Human Rights & Equal Opportunities when really that's a load of tosh.. We need people in government who aren't afraid to speak to the truth (or at least partially), who'll not be racists or biggots, but patriots who will be prepared to put their necks on the block for the rights of the United Kingdom. Labour = LaughableTories = Cameron is a smug príck who I just can't seem to trust (although out of him and Brown, it'd be him)Lib Dems = Some great policies, but they've no chanceBNP = You must be jokingGreen Party = UrghSNP = Even more laughable than Labour Just my views on it - no harm meant by them.
April 12, 201014 yr I don't care TBH i wouldnt vote for any of them, they are all up thier own arses... Infact ill vote Jeremy Clarkson
April 12, 201014 yr If you dont vote you can't complain - you and all like minded MAY make a difference in the votes
April 12, 201014 yr This forum isn't the best place for a discussion like this, there are too many ignorant people on here that aren't willing to try and understand what it is they are talking about.
April 12, 201014 yr I'm voting for the first time, and it'll be Conservative. This is due to some of their policies regarding small businesses which are more appealing than labours current regime.
April 12, 201014 yr Is it time for this topic again? Eeek. I'm with Trig, we've been here too many times before and know how it ends. It's started already. Folk who have looked into each party enough to claim they're all as useless as each other, but who doesn't vote.... :-\ !!!
April 12, 201014 yr stonah - you say lib dems have no chance yet you're gonna vote ukip?! Aaron - if people vote for smaller parties it won't make a difference, not may make a difference. Its a rubbish system but its fact. Like stonah, his vote won't make a difference!
April 12, 201014 yr Yes but even if it wins them an extra seat in parliament, it's a start bud. That's my way of looking at it anyway..
April 12, 201014 yr I'm voting for the first time, and it'll be Conservative. This is due to some of their policies regarding small businesses which are more appealing than labours current regime. But, what use will those policies be when the Cons have rolled the country back into recession with their debt reduction and tax break promises? Stonah, please, have a look into the benefits of the EU and what we gain from immigrants. Without immigrants this country won't survive, it would cost our economy more to pull out of Europe than it does cost to stay in with it, properly research it and you will see that the idea of pulling out of Europe is economic suicide.
April 12, 201014 yr Is there a site anywhere that gives a general rundown of all partys? I was allowed to vote last year but never, and got the leaflet through the door a few days ago and would like to vote this year.
April 12, 201014 yr Here you go, LiamBBC News Stonah - this bit of the BBC News site that I posted above might be of interest to you: Choose parties to compare: Europe & Foreign Affairs Tories - Opposed Lisbon Treaty, but will not reverse it; pass a law to require a referendum on any future treaty that transfers power from Britain to the EU; UK Sovereignty Bill, to ensure ultimate authority stays in Parliament; law to ensure any abolition of national veto would require MPs’ approval; rule out Euro entry; as opposed to Labour - Support Euro in principle, but only if five economic tests are met, and no current plans to enter; and LibDem - Strongly support continued EU membership; would opt in to pan-European justice policies; encourage greater European security and defence co-operation; support Euro membership in principle, but no plans for early entry; This isn't the election to be supporting minor parties, if the election is going to be a close run thing, then we need to ensure that we don't end up with a hung parliament, as this won't be good for anybody.
April 12, 201014 yr The only decent thing I've heard from a politician lately was Nick Griffin about war.So they'll be getting my vote.
