rite, as my cars stripped out i want to put my sub into my spare wheel well. il make it easy to remove for track days but i need to know how to do it, what it will sound like and how to get the best out of it.

so who has done it and how did you do it?

i was thinking cut a circle in MDF to secure the sub and use sound proof matt int he wheel well. should i then pack out the wheel well? and how should i secure the mdf?

yea i know dave did his i think tezmanian devil did too but i need to know how :)
id like to know aswell....
stu did it too. surely you could make a wooden floor the size of the bottom of the well, wood around the edges in like a hexagon type and then a lid on top which will hold the sub and the connections
haha ive done exactly that today ill take a pick later and show you...

the only way i now to to do it is to make a false floor out of mdf

dynamat your boot floor

cut the hole for your sub

you wont have to secure the mdf as you will be cutting it to the shape of your boot carpet

then just cut ho0le for sub and coverin fabrics place sub in run your wires before you put the false floor in wire it up and away you go

Don't forget dynamat is heavy,..,...

That'll leak and sound like rubbish that way

what im thinking is get mdf cut a hollow circle so i end up with a big polo, tigerseal that down so that will be the only permanant thing and light as it will only be a couople of inches wide to secure the sub too.

can sub box padding to fill sub boxes be bought? if so i could pack the spare wheel well screw the sub down nd away i go and then padding and sub would be easy to remove via a few screws? and all id be left with is a small wooden polo around the edge of the spare wheel well?

I have seen it done before where they used the wheel well like a mould and lined it with fibreglass and made a fibreglass enclosure.Looked really good when finished.

done bit of it today just ready to put sub and amp in
