picked up a gti and the clutch is abit high,does this just need adjusting?

plus om my way home found my self doing a few u-turns due to motorway closure and it seems when turning full lock i get a noise coming from passenger side,is this a cv joint issue?

thanks

michael

Ive always been under the assumption of the clutch self adjusting? there is a ratchet on the pedal.

As for the noise, is the car lowered at all?

na mate standard ,just get it when full locking etc

you can adjust the clutch pedal with a 6/7mm (cant mind which) allen key at the top of the pedal.

what type of noise is it: scraping/clunking/sqealing?

possible wheel rubbing or cv joint depending on which.

repetative clunking during the turn or random clunking?

repetative = cv joint, bearings

random = cv, lower arm, arb bushes

arbs are likely cause, wether arb links or bushes both relatively cheap to buy with the later being the more difficult to diy fit.

less likely is lower arms which are also relatively cheap to replace and buy.
