What are your views on them?

Would you have one?

Personally I would have one but it would have to spell my name out exactly and not half arsed with dodgy letters etc. (L1 AMP - Liam P)

I ask because my neighbour has just got a new car ('02 M3) with the reg M3 *** and seen a lambo yesterday with the reg BO55 or similar and a ordinary Skoda with 999 DRS which i thought was pretty cool, if he/she is a doctor.

If I had the money to spare for one, then maybe. Otherwise I cant justify spending a few hundred pounds on letters and numbers.

I have got one,

I was in your situation with mine, do I get my initials, my name, or something on the reg with a meaning... such as... a reg I spotted on ebay which is still doing its rounds on there "F150 V8"

I chose to go with my initials as it makes it personal to me then. so put 2 & 2 together, Martin & I both got our initials with the begining of the reg stating P11 (for Martins 911, insignificant to my car, but they do match)

Really though Liam, just have a look around, there will be something you like out there, something with your initials, or your name, or whatever you want, they are not too expensive and they can be sentimental, I still smile everytime I see mine. :)

i got one as i had the cash due to the sale of the escort. its personal to me and its as close as spelling my name as possible. N20ELD= noel deane. i like it thats all that matters to me
i'd love R31 DDD :D
I've got D11FFD ... my name D.DUFF ..obviously i dont have it spaced anymore since the wife got pulled when i did and went bonkers , but a couple people who i used to work with years ago bumped into me and mentioned that they had a feeling it could be mine

Come on Lee, i'm a student mate, think i've got the money for a private reg!? haha.

The onyl thing close to what I want is L18 MTP (Liam Thomas Pearson) for £250 but like I said I think it would have to be all or nothing

I can't think of any other way for you to have NOEL D? Unless you get an '03 reg car? but even then you're going to have an extra letter to use, so think you're is as good as it gets :thumb: Whereas L1 AMP last time I checked was in the thousands :(

It would be in the thousands mate, hence why I settled for initials as it was far cheaper than my name instead. (Lee G)

My reg cost £250.

If you can only find something close Liam, why not get something with your initials instead? Like (example of course) E5C LTP??? :) then again.. that would be expensive too.

Like (example of course) E5C LTP??? :)

like what?

also, "F150 V8"...how's that work? F15 OVB I assume?

i've bought 4 in my time, only have 1 left now which I currently use.

In the past I had L33 R CU (L33 RCU) & L33 R RS (L33 RRS) on side by side cars....both were sold on...L33 R RS on the RS powered estate....

then for the 1st wedding anni with the ex wife I bought N8 LTR (my initials) and N8 CFR (hers) on side by side cars which I thought was quite a cool present.......

I currently run N8 LTR on the Focus :)

all were £250

I wouldn't have a 'spaced' one again as a) I now realise they look sh!t, and b) too much attention from the Police.

Waste of cash IMO.

Best I saw was one that came into the garage I used to work in. It was on an old XJS that hadn't seen the road in 15 years and the guy needed it MOT'd so he could put the plate on his Ferrari. THE 81Z. I saw it last year at my current work on a Q7.

It's worth just a little bit.....

I've thought about my initials but unless I could get R34 LTP there is no point :pancake:

at the time I only spent money on my cars.......wasn't a waste at all imo.

Not as such a waste as pi$$ing it up the wall, like I *ahem* sometimes do now....

This was in my local car park a few years back, thought it was amusing.
