which is best???? ...........................there's only one way to find out.......................... fight!!!!!!

i've heard of the Touch, Desire, Legend, Hero. Also some are HD, is that worth it on a phone??? one has a windows operating system, does that mean its good or a nightmare??? anyone on here own any HTC's???? let me know your views. ta

HTCs are good everyday PDA/Smartphones :thumb:

It's down to software preference on newer models though.

The Hero/Desire use Android

Where as the Touch etc uses Windows Mobile

Personally I'd ask for demos of both OSs in mobile phone stores and see which you personally prefer (if any) before taking the plunge.

Personally I'm a Windows Mobile fan... I can program in Windows in most of the Visual .net languages so transfering these to Windows Mobile and compact.net is fairly easy.

The HTC Desire is currently the best spec phone.
The HTC Desire is currently the best spec phone.

Shares a similar spec to the HD2 component wise.

Plus the cpu on the HD2 is clockable to around 1.3Ghz

Indeed, i've owned HTC phones for about ten years now, including the HD2 and Nexus One. Unfortunately Windows Mobile doesn't quite cut it against Android now, but that may change with WM7. Who knows.

Windows Mobile on the HD2 is the biggest waste of hardware i've ever seen.

HTC phones are excellent though, especially the Desire which is basically an unbranded version of the Google Nexus One. If you're interested in a HTC phone, go for it - as long as it's one of their Android handsets. You won't be disappointed!
