rigpig
I have lusted after these alloys for over 10 years but am not sure they will suit the escort, anyone got any pics of some fitted. I would prefer 16" but would go to to 17" (for daily use I need comfort over style, shame but true) What fitment/offset is required for the escort. Could someone post tyre sizes for both options to give same diameter. Thanks. Rigpig.
ScORTED
et38 7j is what you want, will be a perfect fit them wheels are a personal preference... theres plenty of kahn replicas out there so you don't even need to pay silly money 16s or 17s will be ok although both sizes will require the car lowering for it not to look like a 4x4 and 17s will look best but for comfort and handling 15s are the best compromise on an escort. I'd go the whole hog and buy the 17s and put up with the slightly harder ride, one thing i will say is that small aftermarket alloys rarely look good on cars
Tez162003
Kahn wheels = crap. By far the softest alloys i've seen in my time working with alloys and tyres. (and its no kwik fit where i work either!)

rigpig
Kahn wheels = crap. By far the softest alloys i've seen in my time working with alloys and tyres. (and its no kwik fit where i work either!) I respect your opinion (and your car looks amazing) but as it has been mentioned alloys are a very personal preference, I have always wanted these alloys back from when I hade a Rover Sterling V6, they would have suited that car to a tee (see my post in car history for that car with some similar but much cheapr 5 spokes) but I'm not sure what they would look like on an Escort, I'm thinking they would not look so good, I really think Escorts look best with genuine Ford Alloys on, unfortunatley they look best with the most expensive Ford alloys on :-) I was really just looking for a pic of a scort with RSR's fitted to see what they look like. It's funny really but IMHO I think most cars look best with OEM alloys fitted, never seen a Porsche or BMW with aftermarket alloys that I liked as much as OEM, same goes for Ford, I see many modded escorts on here with VERY nice looking wheels but they don't look as good as Lee's old estate with the RS alloys or Diamond cut RS7's. Like I said it's a personal choice, I think RS2k's look pants with the original factory alloys. One of the ugliest, most boring looking wheels ever designed for an iconic car IMO. The standard GTi alloys suit the car very well but should have been 16" out of the box, I think most of us will agree on that point, If ford has a fault it's trying to be all things to all people and to be honest ride comfort is a major factor when it comes to wheel size so who am I to argue with their engineers! To each there own I suppose, and no offence meant to anyone who disagrees :-), rambled on enough now, time for another voddy, Hey it's 10:30 here in India! MikeM
They are my favourite alloy too. I got a set for my previous car for £50 and a quick refurb and they looked new again! Wish they would have fitted my GTi (They were vauxhall fitment )

rigpig
Thanks for all the pics guys, I think they look great, but to look really good on an Escort you need serious stoppers behind them and that's not something I plan to do, at least not on the back. I have narrowed my choice down to RS7s or possibly Escos. Cheers, Rigpig
