June 4, 201014 yr I heard that it happened when Heskey turned him in training. If Heskey is able to turn him and get on his way then its probably a good thing.
June 5, 201014 yr Rio (like Terry) has been dodgy all season, so it's a blessing really. Having Ledley King at the back makes the England defence more secure in my opinion. Had to chuckle at the beaming smile on Dawson's face as he got the plane to South Africa. Every cloud and all that  The loss of Drogba would be more damaging to the tournament, hope he someone makes it back in time.   At least it wasn't as bad as SWP's tackle on poor Dean Ashton a few years ago in England training.

June 5, 201014 yr Bad news for Rio and England. My first choice for this world cup would have been Dawson and King as i believe they have that understanding of each others game that would give a solid platform for the rest of the team. Terry and carragher are the real liabilities of the defence, both are renowned for that falling into the player foul when they get skinned. Whoever the first choice goalkeeper is one things for sure they are going to be kept very busy, Joe hart is probably the best shot stopper we have so my vote would be for him
