Posted June 9, 201014 yr Pics from ebay for now, self taken pics to be put up after the weekend, turns out it wont run on veggie, it's got the wrong fuel pump.. may swap it for the bosch pump one day though... Plans are simply to run it, I will probably fit a CD player soon but for the most part i think ill spend cock all on it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/scoop2004/BvEg4wwWkKGrHqVhsEv10GMNBMDJVTg_12.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/scoop2004/BvEh2LQEGkKGrHqFiEEv10DqG3BMDLIlf-_.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/scoop2004/BvEhR3QB2kKGrHqFh0Ev10E1CFBMDKEqr-_.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/scoop2004/BvEgzewBGkKGrHqFikEv10IwtUBMDJNw2iQ.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/scoop2004/BvEhF2BWkKGrHqNhUEv10IYHNBMDJvMrsQ_.jpg May try and push the few dents it has out myself. Opinions.....I see tumbleweed..
June 9, 201014 yr Doesn't look bad mate, can't see from pics but has it got the soundproofing under the bonnet with the airscoop? Ps standard speakers arnt to bad in these iirc
June 9, 201014 yr Author Dunno mate, it aint here yet, getting it in 2 hours, but i know what you mean, the air channel for the TMIC, I hope its all there, if not ill definately be getting some.
June 9, 201014 yr Good choice Craig, it will do for you to save monies. My brothers was an M reg and he ran it into the ground and it STILL wouldn't die. they are tuff cars.
June 9, 201014 yr Thats the one, it's suprising the effect cold air had on mine, I ran it a few days without the front grill as it broke and performance and mpg went up even more, the pin code takes some getting used to in these, oh and don't trust the fuel light if it comes on fill up asap it's unpredictable, it fills up I you go left lol oh and don't brim it totally as it pees out the overflow if you turn to sharply left. It will cost more than you think to buy the veg oil pump and associated bits. I can't remember if it needs anything oter than the fuel pump changing but nothing else needs modifieing really and in the warmer months they will run on 100% vegi oil, I tthink there is a sticky on the pug306 forums
June 9, 201014 yr Author Ill only half fill it at a time lol, save weight = more MPG lol Trig, the bosch fuel pump, injectors and lines etc can be had real cheap (anything from £20 to £70,someone on the forum paid £120 and everyone was saying he was ripped off), however i dont wanna fit em myself, only ever messed with a timing belt once, and that ended badly £70 for the parts wil soon pay for itself when your saving between 30p and 70p a litre on the fuel (depending on what tesco are charging for the veg oil that week)

And you will need to set up a heat exchanger, factor that in too. If you have been intending all along to run VO then you should have bought the right car.

June 9, 201014 yr I wouldn't run more than 50% oil from what i read up on the ZX i had, even in summer as its still too thick. A heat exhanger would deffinatly help with it, maybe to a point of 75/25 but if you don't watt it to be a massive pain on starting dont go full. You won't save much anyway, especially if your only buying in small ammounts from the likes of Tescos: http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price...ng_Oil_10L.html £13 for 10L.
June 9, 201014 yr Looks alright for the purpose it has been bought for, get yourself down your local chippies, strike a deal for there oil. You will have to sieve the lumpy bits out but it will be alot cheaper than buying it from tescos or get yourself signed up at a food wholesalers
June 9, 201014 yr were bouts do u live mate? if your near by il swap your stuff over to bosch stuff you will need bsch idi pump bosch injectors and rails bosch pully and new cam belt plus new water pump also if you plan on doing it your self remember to change the pump studs over to the other holes ive had two 306's 1st one had 4 engines second one had three engine then when the third one died i was one of the first to drop the 2.1 12v dt in one lol but if you plan on doing a stage 1 or stage two tune on it fit a front mount befor or your engine will last only weeks
