i have a h reg escort with a k reg escort 1.8 16v efi zetec lump , the wiring loom and ecu are from a 1.6 16v efi zetec the engine wont run right and smells like its over fueling and smoking well any 1 got any ideas what it can be?

try putting a 1800 ecu on it

I know i'm doing it wrong but what could it be?
