hey guys right i'm taking a trip over to the powdercoaters tomorrow to get some stuff done, i know the guy so i know he can shotblast or sandblast some parts for me for a small fee.

question is can i get my 2.0 maf and throttle body shotblasted around the main body area and not the internals and avoiding all sensors and plastics etc. is it safe to do and if not shall i just get a dremel with a few small wire brushes and get cleaning. was kinda looking for a faster way of cleaning up the parts!

and by the way these bits aren't going on a 1.6 or 1.8 just to let you know they are for my 2.0 engine for those who maybe critics! i'm just looking to restore as many parts as i can and if possible give them a fresh coat of paint/powdercoat at same time for when i bolt the 2.0 engine in!

can anyone help me? i need to know before i take them there, didn't get a chance today due to work.
I'd recommend against shot blasting anything that goes near an engine.. it only takes one grain of sand to get stuck in your oil and game over engine.

even if the parts are fully cleaned out using an air blower?
You'd be surprised where the sand gets to, but you takes yer choice.
