Hi there guys.

I did my 2.0 zetec conversion in my escort sport, and would just like to know how many miles/kilometers people het on a full tank(55L) ? Cause with the 1.6 on a very light foot I used to get 600km/361miles and with a bit heavy foot I got 450km/ 271miles.

With the 2.0 I get 350km/210miles on a very very light foot(I pee everybody off in traffic) and with a heavyish foot I het 380km/228miles.

This confuses me, I've check for any leaks and found non :-(

Help please with any advice ?

I have the 1.6 Intake with the 2.0 injectors and the 2.0 throttle bodie and a 1.8/2.0 maf

Thanx :D

So you get better fuel economy when driving hard? Sounds like a MAF or Oxygen sensor issue.

Thats correct , I'm still using the 1.6 ecu. I got a 1.8/2.0 maf but the sensor was stuffed, the car wouldn't idle. so I took the 1.6 sensor and stuck it in the 2.0 maf and it worked fine then, the car pulls right through to red line and doesn't have a missfire so I geuss the maf is okey? anyway I can check it?
You need a 2.0L ECU - car on non correct engine management = fail.

You need a 2.0L ECU - car on non correct engine management = fail.

a Unichip ecu is also on my todo after the brakes.... anyways you think its the ecu ?

it makes sense
yes, its the ECU. its not designed to run to run a 2.0 maf ECT. Change it for a DEEP, DALE, DEWY or DESK mate
I also changed the lamda sensor, for a 2.0 one, check the parts numbers to see they are different. 1.8 inlet is better too

The oxygen sensors are the same.. in function..

Wrong ECU will cause running issues.

So I checked the maf, its working fine , and changed the coilpack (read that may also cause bad fuel economy) and the car doesn't have any running problems thats why I thought the 1.6 ecu will work fine for now and it does except for the heavy guzzeling fuel... so if this fails its a new management system :-) thanx for the help guys :pancake:
