cherrybeard
So i had a look and yeah its called "Dual state intake manifold" for the 170 (according to the great wiki!). I can also see that the 170 has variable valve timing which makes sense as the increased speed of air entering the chamber might fly straight out the exhaust port if the overlap is too long? I think ? The one i have runs the valve from a vacuum pipe and i assume it takes its trigger readings from sensors already present around the engine although there isn't VVT. So is it something that you can make happen or can it only be done if every part of the engine is geared up for the change?
