massivewangers
Most of the last cars were Y plates, though there has been a few 51 registered cars too. Vans went on a bit longer. But yours is pretty late on an X, so one of the later ones. By that time they were only making five door hatch and estate models, with either a 1.6 16v, or a 1.8TDI engine. Trim levels were Flight or Finesse, so it was a pretty basic range by that time!

Sadly I don't think they'll ever see the status that MK1 and 2 Escorts have achieved, as their rallying success is far less known, but I don't see why they won't pick up some value eventually, most Fords do. That is, unless all cars get banned and they have us all on public transport!
LiamGTR
I agree with the 2 above, it's only a mk6 Escort ffs, just enjoy it, and when it finally turns into a bucket of rust (which is will) just scrap it and get a new car.
massivewangers
I must say, this is probably the most un-enthusiastic enthusiasts site I've ever been on... ....worse than passionBMW even...
LiamGTR
I must say, this is probably the most un-enthusiastic enthusiasts site I've ever been on... ....worse than passionBMW even...It's more about being realistic. We could all tell him "ahh yea you've got the very last mk6 ever Fcuking wow great job my new best friend, keep it in a bubble for 20 years and then sell it to Theo Paphitis and you're going to be a millionaire for the rest of your life and live in a villa in Florida with a super model." But lets face it, that's NOT going to happen, sorry to pee on his parade but I prefer to live in reality, not cloud 9.
