But never ceases to amaze me the attitude of some people thinking there clever i with answers ur only person your fooling is yourself think they just do it for attention who cares what car u have it's about bein enthusiastic about it and enjoyin the car u drive...... Andy fella, all forums are like this, some people on here are enthusiasts who enjoy the car, others came here because they own(ed) an Escort, and once they replaced it with a different car kind of gave up on the Escort but just remain here for the talk, topics, banter and now and again to help others. I for one have always admired Escorts, I have had a few and now moved onto a newer better car, but I am still enthusiastic about Escorts, I grew up with them and my grandad built them in the factory in Halewood so I did see them there sometimes too, one day I will own another and keep it for a long time. I could name a few. aslong as its not me i have been, and always shall be, an enthusiast (and a trekky )even though i've moved over to the mondeo i know i will get another mk6 escort but this time as a 3 door and turn it into a track toy that wont look too out of place in a concours comp (not that it would win it with all the rust it will no doubt have:P)i know full well, viewed purely as a means of transport there are far better cars than the escort, but that doesnt stop me loving them. like all these people with their crotch rockets. how practical are they - 'can you pop to the shops and get few things' 'err, no' but people still love their bikes. these people are enthusiasts oh yeah, keep your eye out for when i put my foot in my mouth. seems to happen alot Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
finessescort Posted August 19, 2010 Share Posted August 19, 2010 What you will find here are a fantastic group of people... many of who own or have owned an Escort (i fit into the latter) that are full of knowledge and always happy to help when something... lets be fair its an Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily) happens. At the same time... we all like a bit of banter.... Can you honestly say you find the Escort to be the greatest car in the world? I wondering if what some people would call "negative attitude of so called enthusiasts", I would call "benefitting from people's experience"...
