escortjas
Dont know if anyone has seen or heard anything about this, but there is a large thread on passionford about a crash at a cruise in southend, which killed the driver, paralised one of the passengers and seriously injured another, being cause by someone putting nails over the road? If that was the case, what on earth possesed someone to do such a thing?

Lee R
could be hearsay, could be residents doing it cos they are pi$sed off with it all, could be.....could be, could be.................. doubt we'll ever know.
meekstaaa
i don't think it would be residents, its not a residential area. I'll let you guys know more when the local paper gets delivered tomorrow. Not heard anything yet about it though
Stu
There's been crashes on the way to/from southend since day dot... it's a risk people take, but perhaps these recent unfortunate events will prevent others from doing the same for a while. meekstaaa
Well i don't know now thinking about it. The seafront has been closed all weekend for the carnival procession. I would have assumed it happened there if it was southend as thats where they most hang out. Who knows... Theres nothing on the local newspaper's website
Dave C
This happened last week.. Theres nothing on the local newspaper's website it'll become a big internet chinese whisper for a while i'd think on the same lines as Stu, it happens weekly where people go and plague this place, drive like maniacs, and cause public nuisence. Crash's do happen as par of the course. I'm not knocking it as such, as i've been there, done all of the above. After seeing Dave's post, i'll stick with my theory of angry locals. meekstaaa
Nothing on the website of our local newspaper, i went back through to last friday. If someone had died in a crash on the seafront the paper would have reported it.
LiamGTR
Someone did die, there was a massive thread about it on the GTRoc but like everything on the net, the thread on PF got blown way out of the water and assumptions were being made left right and centre

Craig855S
If that's genuine then I hope police get hold of this info, and use CCTV etc to at least try and find a person they can convict of manslaughter. But i dont think we'll hear any more on the matter
