danposs86
Crash happened while street racing. The best thread I read about it was on PistonHeads as it was all very level headed (also alot of debate about what type of screw it was lol)

finessescort
Likely angry locals if this cruise was a weekly occurance... Problem is people that go to these cruises (yes i was one of them too) dont realise the noise they are making. the one i used to go to (until the police chained the car parks shut) was at a large retail park in Bedford. It was away from any residential areas but you could still here the music, tyre screeching, and odd backfiring a mile away... now if you had children that couldnt sleep or yourself had to be up early in the morning and had to listen to this every week wouldnt you take action? yes, gluing cavity fixings on the road is a bit extreme and dangerous, and all right stupid... regular cruise goers will now be on a man hunt... but still... until its reported in the rags we dont know the full story

Why would they want to fix anything to a wall they've just built? ...So we can rule out plasters!
SteveB
It's nowhere near Southend tho' - this is the ExCel centre car park in Docklands so you won't get it in your local rag. Newham recorder most probably carried it.
