mac456 Posted September 5, 2010 Author Share Posted September 5, 2010 Surely the flat washer should be first, the purpose of the spring washer's to stop it loosening. i havnt got a clue mate, i just went from the diagram and still got it wrong. lol. iv decided to leave it for the time being as im moving house next year anyway. If the washers are on the incorrect sides its most likely that overtightning the bolt will destroy the tubuler design. The parts are usually hollow hence forcing the nut to ruin the hole & pop right through the metal, hence the washer needed. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
