Wax, what's good but cheap

z8 isnt really a sealant, it doesnt last long and is advised to be used for occasions where you want your car to stand out.

Anyway. What trig said is good advise, collinite for long lasting or Megs #16 for good shine but not as long lasting, personally i think the #16 is brilliant, but its a glaze not a wax

What's the difference? Does that make the collinite better because it's a wax? even though its not as shiny?

Ok, Z8 is here: Zaino Z8, its excellent to follow up a wash with to prolong the protection.

And for the megs glaze/wax: Look at the label printed on the tin

The more you pay the better the results, should get wax with a clay kit, i did my black scort in some meguires wax and it looked new after

Incorrect. I have an autoglym combination that I can use to give a nearly as good a result as using several menzerna polishes and Dodo Juice Supernatural, probably good enough for 95% of people not be able to tell the difference.

Its about knowing how to use products to get the best from them, and how it suits the vehicle you are working with.

Craig, #16 is a classic, just dont put it down too thick or it sets like concrete, really thin layers, you barely need to see it on the surface. If you can see the blue of the wax, you have put too much on.

while we are on the subject of wax's etc, i have a radiat red focus that has got the dreaded pink effect. i have tried colour magic and a few similar items and although it has improved, it is'nt by much. any recommendations or should i just go and get it buffed up or something?

You will want to use a slightly abrasive polish on that. If you are polishing by hand, Megs Scratch X could be very useful. Once you have the colour back, seal your hard work in with a couple of layers of wax.
