Jordan99940
has anybody got a shot of there car when up in the air i.e. on a service ramp. reason i ask is i bought a manifold off ebay for a focus so there for down pipe will not connect to the rest of the system unless its fabricated/bodged but i don't know what the differences between the focus and escort system is so has any body got a picture of either so i can see roughly what needs to go where any help is appreciated thanks guys Jordan Edited September 9, 2010 by Jordan99940
SLEEMAN
has the manifold got a 3 bolt triangular flange?? if so you can get a custom cat/decat pipe made to have that flange or you can ask the custom exhaust place to cut the flange off and weld a normal 2 bolt diamond shape flange on instead. got a picture of the manifold and down pipe? SLEEMAN
ah yes well those other pipes apart from the manifold are basically useless to bolt onto an escort sorry!!! but the manifold can be adapted to suit an escort, i think you should bolt the manifold on yourself, then get the car towed to somewhere like powerflow and get them to make up a new cat or decat section for the car and problem solved i think. Jordan99940
i thought something like that would be the needed. so i need to get a pipe made up how much would this roughly cost me?
Jordan99940
Would something like this not do. or would it be to much of a risk because the mongoose brand decat is not the same as the manifold ? would it be something like this thou that is what is needed? http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/cheap/19858...es/fd009-1.html

SLEEMAN
its better if you show em in person, but make certain you say that you will fit the manifold as what they will do is they will put it on and its gonna cost over £500 to do it which is ridiculous to change a manifold over as it only takes an hour! trust i've already asked!
