RyanML Posted September 20, 2010 Share Posted September 20, 2010 hey, thinking about buying a van in the near future but would like to know if there was a way i could legally fit the back of the van with atleast one seat? id only be thinking about fitting a fold away seat so the back can still be used... anyone have any ideas? And I imagine the seats and seatbelts would be scrutinised during an MOT so make sure you fit them to the same standard that they are in hatchbacks (big Torx bolts through a chunky piece of metal with a fair thread in it) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mclovin9091 Posted September 21, 2010 Share Posted September 21, 2010 I too am looking at getting a van (for ma dogs) and was thinking of gettting a 3rd seat installed. Personally i can't see it being a problem as there are vehciles on the road that have side facing seats and are road legal. The only problem i can see is that you would need to find original mounting points to fix the seat belt too otherwise they would not be securely fixed.
