regarding my throttle body set up having the 1.8 engine and also owning a pair of 130 spec camshafts would i have more gain fitting these to the car than the 115 cam shafts currently in the car?

as my megasquirt management can be mapped to suit these cams would it be beneficial seeing as the i will not need the Loom inlet manifold and MAF because this would be changed on the tb set up

thanks Any one who answers

This is the typical gain you'll get by properly mapping it... solid line is my mapping.. dashed is OEM.. std 1.8 zetec, hot inlet cam, cool exhaust cam, some 4-2-1 manifold and stainless exhaust..

Ignore the actual figures as the rolling road wasn't accurate, but look at it as a matter of ratio/percentage difference.. in other words.. not much.

i could think of a pub story to i know some one who spent ages putting in 130 spec cams after reading the umpteen amount of threads on this saying its not worth it . then had a megga squirt ecu into the equasion and a remap to find its hardly any quicker than a standard car at all ...... wat a plonker!!!!

yes you say this but being an escort remember Rust is lighter than paint

no

rust is heavier than paint but is ment to be lighter than carbon fibre wich is bull as the only way it would be lighter is if it wasnt there full stop as iron oxide not only has the weight of the iron /steel but also the weight of the water it is retaining.
