Hi all,

 

Currently unemployed and signed up to a few agencies. They sent me out last week Monday and Tuesday to set up a marquee for London fashion week, handed in the time sheet on the thursday, a week later and still nothing.

 

Am i right in thinking you get paid on a Friday at midnight? I wasnt expecting it to be in last friday as i handed the sheet in on thursday.

 

Should I be concerned?? Will wait till morning and give them a call.... hopefully by then Orange will decide to have signal in the area (Banbury) so i can.

Do they pay wages monthly or weekly- if it's monthly then this could be where your problem lies. Having said this if Friday is definitely payday then next Friday is the 1st of October so ignore my post!!!!

Some agencies do cheques mate, might be a case of going in and collecting it.

I think you should probably be asking the agency, as they will know their policies. Unless anyone on here works for your agency, you wont get an answer.

normally you work a week in hand. so you will get paid next fri. had this prob last night where somene told me id get paid all of last week and this week this friday, til i dug deeper to find i only get paifd for last week this week and this week next week.

 

ok on checking my bank i take that back i havnt a cue what they have paid me as its more than i was expecting but stil doesnt add up lol

All depends on the agency mate, all the agencies i've worked for have been pretty bad, make sure you keep a note of your hours etc

I did casual work for agencies from 16-23 (last yr) and always paid a week in arrears so the following Friday... now my employers pay me a month in arrears!! Was bad times when I first started and didnt get paid for ages but when I leave I'll get paid for that month and the following month too. But as said, Id chase the agency up to double check
