orange light

can any one help. the orange light on my dash that shows a door is open wont go off . iv cleand all door contacts and boot contacts but made no differance startin to do my nut in lol cheers Edited September 24, 2010 by si paul

check all the boot contact wiring is still inplace.

 

specifally the wiring that connects to the top of the retracting push rods on the lid as repeated movement over the years makes the wire contacts snap away which often leads to allsorts of weird symptoms, rear demister not working, boot release failure, door warning light constant

does the bonnet not have a switch aswell?

thanx iv checkd the boot contacts but will av a closer luk at wires ta mukka

 

yes bonnet as got a switch 2 but thought that was 4 the ford alarm lol
