Craig855S Posted September 30, 2010 Share Posted September 30, 2010 I ran 205/50/16s on a stock ride height mk6 and got scrubbage, when the tyres wore out i replaced em with 205/45s If your tight on cash and want the 16s, then just buy em and use em till the tyres die then get the right ones to replace them, just beware that full lock is gonna scrub. stevmo3691 Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 i had mine standard height on mondeo 16's with 205/50 R16 and made the car seem like an off roader. also scrubbed on full lock changed to 195/45 R16 and this was perfect size and will clear on -60 just wouldnt recommend that drop. ended up being horribly uncomfortable, not as good at handling and destroyed cat and mid silencer:http://i6.tagstat.com/image06/8/520f/004F001O58f.jpg still have those wheels actually which you could buy just for the tyres if thats what you wanted as only done 1500 miles max and cost me £250 toyo proxes T1R's - awesome tyres Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
