door speaker adaptors

Do these fit straight into the doors where the original speakers go or am i mistaken?

Yeah, they're pretty straight forward to put in.

 

How easy it is to mount the aftermarket speakers in to them mostly depends on the speaker, I just ended up drilling a couple of more bolt holes.

No worries, I really should stop being lazy and list more of the parts I have sitting about!

 

adaptors are very easy to fit:

 

remove door cards

 

remove old speaker, 3 screws and a plug for the speaker wire

fit adaptor with 3 screws in the same place

plug in new speaker, the kits usally have a plug to go in to the ford wiring, then 2 clips onto the new speaker.

 

screw in speaker, some times they don't line up but easy to drill a couple of new holes into the speaker

Those are 17cm jbls, watch the mounting depth on some after market speakers and if they have a big tweeter

Nice one dude that guide will be well helpful, i got some 17cm vibe slicks on order, theyre meant to be quite slim so i presume the depth shouldnt be a problem
