TheBIG
Hi guys i have a few questions and i don't know where to start ....... I tought I have 1.8 16v (115 HP ) zetec that should be originaly in my car ....my fred has a completly rebuilt 2.0 16v zetec from mondeo (136hp) in his escort converteble ,and there is a guy whit xr3 (130 HP).... and now the paradox in my car I have 1.6 16v whitch is a 90 hp engine nothing done to it on a original wiering loom from 1.8 115 and I'm faster then bought of them and not a bit faster but quite faster....... so when i wanted to put original ecu inside it coudnt fit because they have eec IV ...and in my car is eec V is that any king of reason I'm faster ???? please any answer is welcome
Stu
Sounds like between you and your friends you all have mis-matched parts which is leading to random performance.
TheBIG
Sounds like between you and your friends you all have mis-matched parts which is leading to random performance. something like that ...the car passed its MOT in green but this loom is desinged for 30hp more so in teory the car shot be ritch whit fuel and i shoudnt pass... the ony difference I found it is in this eec V ecu everythig else is standard 1.6 16v and car does 0-60 in 9.4s accoring to the Tazzo
