ldnvan
Hi guys im new on here, ive got a mk 5 escort van with the 1.4 petrol in it, its got a slight misfire and its idle is very lumpy when starting the car and when pulling up to lights. Would cleaning the distributor help this, as ive changed the leads but this made the problem worse, so im wondering if cleaning the distributor may solve the problem, but im not to sure how to go about this. Or would this be caused by the idle control valve? and would cleaning this help the car idling? What im wondering is how do i go about cleaning the distributor?cheers guys Edited October 9, 2010 by ldnvan
