That's vile!

Just had a look for some pics of one I've seen in the past, can't find any photos though.

It was Imperial Blue with cosworth arches, it looked really nice, Used to see it at FordFair/FITP a couple years ago.

You mean this one?

Remember it being in the fast ford mag years ago.

I like the arches, would make the pick up have a better stance however im not really a fan of the bodykit. I like subtlty :)

A little update;

Sadly before i can start the conversion, i have to get the van running nicely first, so here is a wee list of problems i have found so far;

- Airbag light keeps coming on

- Horn doesn't work

- Heater bolws hot air out for around half a second and then goes straight to cold

- Temperature guage not working

- Has a water leak coming from the header expansion tank

- Big crack in the windowscreen

- Bearing are on the way out

- Front knocks when i go over speedbumps and down curbs.

Not to bad for a van, but things that will be a pain in the arse to fix.

So here goes....

Sounds like a wicked project but would an estate not be a better candidate for a pick up conversion?

Id love to do this to my van but i wouldnt know where to start ;(

good luck with it and keep this topic updated! And welcome also :drunk:

Yours probs right mate, but an escort van is all i have so im going to crack on with it. Done a few scale drawings with all the correct measurements and the proportions still look good.

Thanks for the advice mate, will take a quick peak at it today and see what i come up with.

Little update;

  • Swaped the header tank, no more water leaks.
  • Put a new fan belt on as it was slipping. no more squeeling now.
  • In the proccess of getting new hubs as changing just the bearings will be alot more expensive (strange how it works out)

Give it a couple of weeks and i should be able to crack on with the fun stuff. :cheers:

Thanks for the welcome guys
