Is the timing just on the cam sensor or is it on the crank and the rpm is that on the cam or crank? Got me a bit confused. Doing research as to what stand alone management to fit and got me wondering about the sensors. Oh and another thing, what is the crank trigger on a 1.6/2.0 Zetec, 36-1? Stu Posted October 12, 2010 Share Posted October 12, 2010 Crank sensor is used to determine crank position.. based on a 36-1 pattern.. Cam sensor is used to determine engine phase.. eg which 2 strokes is it on.. with the crank sensor the ecu can determine exactly what's going on.
