Status Bad.Warning: immediate back up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent. u can press F1 and it will load normally.... i had to run the recovery console just to get that far... wats the message about? anyway i can remove it? sidrick Posted October 17, 2010 Share Posted October 17, 2010 You can turn off S.M.A.R.T. in the system BIOS, but that error is telling you that the hard drive is on it's way out. I know i should follow what it says... only reason I asked is that he is getting a laptop for christmas and wondered if there was a temporary fix until then.
