jaykaddz
When driving it squeaks sounding like its from O/S/F wheel area, but someone else said its O/S/R but cant make our minds up..I thought it was cv joint as that started a bit of a grind so got it replaced and the squeak is still there, got it briefly checked over in a garage and they said its not wheel bearing. But noticed the other day that when accelerating it doesnt squeak, only when its rolling i.e. take foot off accelerator completely or ever so slightly press the accelerator.. Any help much appreciated as im absolutely mind-boggled.Thanks Jay.
stuey650
Did the garage check the front and rear for wheel bearings? You say it was brief, how brief cause I'd have though a compitent garage should be able to suggest whats wrong fairly quickly. If its a squeek could it be a brake caliper that siezed? jaykaddz
they checked just the front one, but its booked back in tomorrow now for a speedo sensor, and they said they would have a proper look whilst its in.But also noticed it looks like the brake pads have been incorrectly, looks like they're constantly in contact with the disk, but the squeaking shouldnt stop when i accelerate should it? 16Vrhys
ive got the same sqeaul on front brakes , front does it from time to time but id say its a slightly warped disk as it started after came home from holiday with lots of down hill constant braking

scottg17
go for a drive, see if the wheel area gets very hot, that will indicate a sticking caliper mate.if it is a sticking caliper and its left unattended then eventually the disc will crack with the heat
