HIGHTOWER
I wasn't expecting to like that when I read "kitted up" I though, "uh oh!" Really do like that, though... Not 100% on the spoiler, but I don't dislike it, either... That box is epic!!! I bet that makes some noise! Have you had it tested in the car? Are they alpine tyre R subs? waynegc123
Looks smart! +1 on the spoiler.... I know how you broke your splitter? You turned the volume up to much . Is it a TD ? or dit you fit a turbo on it ? saw the boost gauge

Are they alpine tyre R subs? alpine swr1022d's, i could have gone 12's but have had to scale the box up more which would have taken ages to work out to do properly. it makes a massive amount of noise, struggles a little bit with punchy stuff but its not what i listen to anyways Looks smart! +1 on the spoiler.... I know how you broke your splitter? You turned the volume up to much . Is it a TD ? or dit you fit a turbo on it ? saw the boost gauge the kit and spoiler was already on when i bought it so its stayed on for now lol at the broke splitter, it took a disliking to a kerb and the kerb won its a td with a mondy intercooler, turbo and pump fitted that ive tuned for some extra umph. its gonna get the engine out of my estate and an fmic, retune to about 150 bhp and loads of torque. i used the boost gauge to tune the turbo but decided to fit it anyways. The spoiler reminds me of those marzipan car cakes you see in the bakers where they layer it all on. no-ones ever put it that way : it always reminds me of on of the boy racer mobiles in the pixar movie Cars oh and pics of my new grill courtesy of daz.gti http://i844.photobucket.com/albums/ab3/jghs83/escort%20van%20td%20cyclone/iponepics027.jpg http://i844.photobucket.com/albums/ab3/jghs83/escort%20van%20td%20cyclone/iponepics028.jpg

Designed for SPL and not much else! 12's would have been even worse on the faster stuff!

Designed for SPL and not much else! 12's would have been even worse on the faster stuff! if idve built the 24x36 to ad a bit more punch but as it was my 1st i went for the full 36x36 for all out BASS. it really does the low swooping bass lines lovely, not over booming. i moght get 2 more 10's and build another

Stu
What frequency is the box tuned for? You know those 6x9's or whatever would sound considerably better if you enclosed them.
jghs83
What frequency is the box tuned for? You know those 6x9's or whatever would sound considerably better if you enclosed them. about 35hz according to decware's plans and calculating the theile small parameters. the 6x9's have a frequency cut off of around 80 hz so "boxing" them in wont make much difference if any to be honest. ive done a lot of installs in the past and found unless the 6x9's are performing at the full freqency range having them in a cabinet of some kind wont help. besides this setup is mainly for spl than sql.
