C6 CYA
had the dreaded bubbling in the header tank etcetc and everyone was saying head gasket so i stripped the engine down and change the head gasket, the old one to my supprise wasnt cracked mis shaped or anything and i also checked the head over and could find no cracks. so i fitted the new gasket and put it all back together only to find the same problem (obviously as the gasket wasnt cracked).now the radiator gets warm as do all the pipes so im presuming the stats doing tis job . but when i remove the top hose of the thermostat unit ( the long thin one that goes to the header tank) no water come out just a hell of a lot of steam ( is this normal) i thought water should come out of here? so im thining i could have a crack internally on the head? any ideas? cheers chris
