recovery truck

selling my transit recovery truck due to moving house and will no longer have the room to keep it. i have owned this truck for two years and its never let me down. last mot it had a small bit of welding and a tyre and that was it. i use this truck for scrap and scrap cars (i have some drop sides which can be fitted) mot and tax until the end of feb (will check dates)

 

good points

very good back will take most cars (have had transits 4x4 estate cars on etc)

2000kg so car carry 1500kg will take more ie transit

12500lb wireless winch less than 12months old £400 (very good strong winch)

cheap easy to run parts are very cheap

alarm+ winch welded to bed

 

bad points after all it is 20 years old

temp gauge and fuel gauge dont work

rattle when you back off the accelerator above 50mph (always done it but dont oftern do 50+mph)

paint job not the best

brakes need bleeding think the fluid is boiling brake fade when hot (might do if i have the time)

 

i bought this over a newer transit as the parts are so cheap you can get an engine and box for £200

 

overall its a good honest truck needs a few jobs doing but never bothered me.

 

may swap for a car up to 3k why cash your way

can this be driven on a lecience (sp) passed after 2004 because of weight?

Its only a 3 and half tonner so can be driven on any car licence

As said you can drive anything up to 3.5 tonne before having to taking either the 7.5 tonne license of HGV Class 2
