escortjas
It would appear that after a hell of a long time in the game, Max Power magazine is bowing out. The last issue is expected to be released on the 12th of Jan 2011 and will be a massive collectors edition, full of history. I'm quite saddend. bongo
most people slate it now but it paved the way for modified cars, and everybody at one time used to read it,including me
Lee R
it's a young magazine compared to most of the rest of the market. , it hasn't been around 'that' long. some of us remember buying the first issue Max Power died years ago imo. massivewangers
It may not be the youngest car mag out there, but it changed the market completely. Was hugely influential to the modified car scene back in it's hey day. But as Lee said, it died a while ago really. It just never recovered after a few bad decisions on which direction to take it. In it's time though it was massive. Sales of nearly 250,000 copies a month is not to be sniffed at! Might buy the final issue though, might be an interesting read. escortjas
See this is what i mean by being saddend, the first issue i bought i still have somewhere. It has a blue R5GTT on the cover, which i think was the first Carsima autobodies (yes, that one of the rubbish uk pimp my ride fame) motor. There are a lot of people who relate modding straight back to this magazine. I also have a copy of Revs. Remeber that?! Mines got the purple jamsport ecsort on the cover. lol I mean i haven't read a copy of max in a while, but it was nice knowing it was there. ChunkiEgg
Surprised most magazines are still going to be honest, with the rise of t'internet and all. gotta have some decent reading material to take with ya to the bog, probably the reason why most mags are still going... plus if you run out of bog roll.... It is a shame to see Max Power go, but I've got a feeling it will not be forgotten
