just bought an escort cabbie mk6 n reg on ebay, are these prone to the usul rotten places or noit, battery tray? rear chassis legs ?

Dont see why they would be any different to a standard 'scort. Ive got one on an R and its clean as. 99% rust free. Battery tray is solid and so is underneath. Arches just started but wouldnt say they were rusty at all. All depends how well the cars been looked after i would have thought

Because they're completley different underneath?

 

Arches don't usually go as bad as the hard-tops, bottom of the front wings is a usual spot for rust on a cabriolet though.

Yeah I heard they were german made? Supposedly a lot stronger shell just wondered about the chassis legs but suppose aslong as I check it over 1st
