nozaroc0
i have the 2.0 zetec in my car but it is running lean. i have been told that this can be cured by fitting a fuel pressure regulator, altho i have no idea which one to get or how to set them up as they are all messured in psi or bar and i wouldnt know how much or little to adjust by. anyone know anything that might help me? Stu
If you're running the correct ECU, injectors and MAF sensor for the 2L engine then it shouldn't be running lean. This would point towards a problem that should be resolved rather than hacked by upping the fuel pressure (which isn't the solution).

Stu
You haven't said which ECU you're using.

Stu
Alright. So how lean is it running? How did the rolling road operators decide it was running lean? Sticking a wideband sensor in the tailpipe is not an accurate way to measure it really. For the spec you detail above, i'd expect it to be no more than 140bhp, and perform generally worse than a standard 2L engine below 4500rpm. Ryoishikawa
i would double check if the parts your using are from the same car as that helps stopping the lean problem.... only thing i can think of is why your running lean is your standard fuel regulator is faulty or your injectors are faulty and you need them checked/test
nozaroc0
ok, i think i need to get to a tuner that knows wot they are doing then. anyone know of any tuners in or near cornwall? preferably some one thet specialises in fords?? JC
I would get the injectors refurbed, I seen and had no end off running issues with poor injectors!

I would get the injectors refurbed, I seen and had no end off running issues with poor injectors!how does refurbing the injectors work then? is it possible to refurb them myself? or worth buying a set that have already been refurbed?
