Can i jump in as stu has replied, managed to get my 2 liter fired up yesterday and yes running like a bag of spanners!!!

Today done the ECU and still like a bag of spanners on DEEP

Still need to do the throttle body and a maf.

I did notice today that we took off the air intake and the engine was getting in more air and without the maf. but god its lean as hell popping and just about idle!! but exhaust super hot!!!

All four cylinders are 9-10 bar and double checked timing!

i hope the 2 liter throttle body will help just seems to be over fueling so much

i think you answered your own question.....

1.6/1.8 ECU running on a 2.0 engine, Fuelling incorrect for the 2.0 engine,

2.0 ECU with the 1.8 TB MAF, again not designed for that ECU resulting in running like a rubbish bag

Change the MAF, Throttle Body, Injectors and it should be good

Probably means you need to change the induction to eg. 1.8 GTi, thats what I did, and mine runs sweet :-)

well 2 Ltr TB and maf is on after some mods well a good bit of engineering! it started and actually sounded like it was running properly then shot up to 4k on the rev clock and died

Sort of got it ticking ove but still not right!

Dam pain in the arsh........
