marshy
yesterday i fitted my k & n to the finesse..only problem being the intake pipe was too small..so i swopped the intake pipe from my si to the finesse..i put the finesses maf back on..now when i press accelerator in first gear the car struggles for a few secs and then kicks into life..also when idling its very erratic...any ideas?? Stu
Most likely an air leak after the MAF.
marshy
im glad you answered stu after the maf?? near the cone end or throttle body end?? Edited December 6, 2010 by marshy
Stu
Anywhere after the MAF! Changing the inlet tract, even the air filter, can lead to improper running but probably not to this level. This stinks of an air leak post MAF.

Stu
The best solution is to put it all back to standard.
JC
You need the 1.6 induction with a 1.6 MAF, and a 1.6 K&N
