ok so its not a ford but makes a good economical daily

 

Astra TDS turbo diesel, 1997 R reg, LS spec

 

tax and tested til end of Feb 2011

LS spec, so one touch electric windows, PAS, alloys, rev counter, cd player and front fogs

1.7 turbo diesel - the Isuzu engine, so very very economical and reliable, also quite tuneable. Quite nippy too, and easily does 50+ MPG. The Isuzu engine is far superior to the GM engine, and also more powerful

 

has a towbar with electrics (easily removed if needed)

 

recently had a new starter motor (hi torque one), new clutch, and new Halfords battery. Also had both belts changed recently, and has receipts to prove all this. starts immediately first time in the morning.

 

body is generally in good condition bar a few small dents expected of a car this age, nothing major though. there is no rust to be seen, and the mechanic that fitted the starter commented on how clean it is underneath. interior is also in good condition, with all the electrics etc working as they should.

 

good reliable and economical car
