Andyb0127 Posted December 18, 2010 Author Share Posted December 18, 2010 wow four coats of high build?? how come?? my bodyshop just does 2 full coats and a dust coat first. i take it you use the interface pad with the 320, 500 and 800Yeh used interface Pad at those stages, this was quite a big repair had four coats of primer because of way it was blocked and flatted, we normally only apply two perhaps three, depends on repair, as insurance companys are now wanting us to to repair rather than renew panels, not that we should complain as were gettin paid more to repair it. SLEEMAN Posted December 18, 2010 Share Posted December 18, 2010 yeah same here, we get told to repair rather than replace unless it the job costs more to repair than replace then insurance companies will tell us to replace. what make of masking tape do you use? we use 3M and its rubbish lol, always get residue or left over tape after painting etc! bloody annoying!!
