geordie_aaron
i went out and bought two part worn Goodyear Eagle Vectors (snow tyres) as i was spinning on silly inclines and corners on 205's and the difference is unreal! i shall now be purchasing a set of winter tyres in November to use until march everyyear
theresa
Have a look here for prices: http://www.mytyres.co.uk/index.html Their prices for winter tyres seem to have shot up at the moment, but will be worth having a look ready for next year, when the prices come down again. My car has 205/50/16's as standard, but I went for the cheaper, skinnier tyre of 195/55/16. The cost for a pair of cheapies was £78, including vat and delivery I did order them at the beginning of December though, hence the cheaper prices. They've performed well so far and I'm happy with them and would definately recommend them
ScORTED
M+S tyres are the sh!t when it comes to slippy stuff like snow and ice or muddy fields / roads
JC
my tyres are quite bad with their stock levels, but are cheap, and on occassion do have some decent brands in.I bought mine in the summer when cheap! M+S tyres are the sh!t when it comes to slippy stuff like snow and ice or muddy fields / roads really? upon what do you base that sweeping statement? I've got an m&s tyre on at the moment http://i906.photobucket.com/albums/ac263/lordjc1983-2/Silver%20Escort/DSC05360.jpg used it in mud - muddy field and on the snow, wet etc and nothing short of impressive in terms of grip! ScORTED
I've used M+S marked tyres over theyears for all sorts of things, from escorts to 4x4s to field cars... and in saying they are the sh!t (this implies they are good) I am saying i've found them really helpful on loose surfaces or snow / ice. much better than all weather or summer tyres
