does any1 no if an escort rs2000 gearbox will work bolted toa silvertop 2.0 zetec engine running the 2.0 zetec clutch an flywheel?

MTx75 was fitted to 2.0 zetecs anyway, shouldnt be a prob providing the starter location is correct.

ye i no but the mondeo runs hydrolicclutch an cable linkage etc so instead of smashing the ib5 topieces i was told the rs2000 box isalot stronger etc

why would you want to go to all that hassle when the standard 1.6 ib5 box is more than up to the job? unless you have a complete rs2000 or xr3i cant see its worth it

why would you want to go to all that hassle when the standard 1.6 ib5 box is more than up to the job? unless you have a complete rs2000 or xr3i cant see its worth it

 

cause im planning a 300bhp + zetec turbo an i no how week the ib5 ab bc box is from runninghtem in the xr2 i have

The IB5 isnt that weak bud. Wont handle 300bhp no.
