thats the point though you couldn't buy a porsche and put it in someone elses name and as you point out you couldn't tax it anyway.

I'm not talking about taxing it (it could have 12months tax when you buy it). Road Tax has no bearing on my point here.

I'm more focusing on the driving insured. Why couldn't you buy it then have it registered in your parents name then, do enlighten me?

I know I could easily have any of my cars registered with my mum, brother, wife etc.

I have two cars here, if what your saying is true then I could drive my cav on the escorts insurance as long as its registered in anyones name but mine?

Trust me I looked into it, hence now, both cars are registered to me & had to be insured by me.

I honestly cba to find any details as proof as any of you that read the small print of your policies will see that even if you can drive other cars 3rd party, that particular vehicle will need insurance in its own right.

No worries Rob, what you said was correct. I looked into it otherwise I wouldnt be insuring two cars lol.

Aye, :D

Does Aaron still work in insurance?

This is the exact wording of mine.........

The policyholder may also drive with the owner's permission a car not owned by the policyholder and not hired to the policyholder under a hire purchase or annual leasing agreement and is not used in connection with the motor trade. This is provided the owner of the car has valid insurance in force on that car but which does not cover the policyholder of this Policy to drive that car.
