tezmanian devil
thought i finally do a thread for the mrs cabby, she's had it since late september and hasn't skipped a beat sooo far it's a 1.6 zetec, electric hood, c/l, e/w, p/s only rust on it is at the bottom the driver's front arch, and a tiny bit along the drivers side sill, and there's a small crack and scuff on the front bumper (was there when we bought it)other than that it's spot on for £550 here's some pic's of it when we got it... http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m106/tezmanian_devil/katsnewcar2.jpghttp://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m106/tezmanian_devil/katsnewcar.jpghttp://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m106/tezmanian_devil/newc.jpghttp://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m106/tezmanian_devil/new.jpg it's still as pictured above as she's only been driving less than a year so best to get used to it first... plan's are (not sure if she's aware yet though lol) lose the gash rear light's and get some half tint's or maybe the black lexus style light's??fogged front bumpergoona splitterspat'slower it a tad4x4 saph cossie wheel's (she hasn't masterd parking yet so no proper alloy's for abit lol)black grill for the frontangle eye's (black one's)decent exhaust system, (nothing OTT)colour coded wing mirror'sand just a general tidy up really if anyone has any of the above let us, she's starting to get the modding bug now so thing's will start to happen shortly, but unfortunetly it'l proberly be coming out of my pocket lol i have a question for any cabby owner's reading this... on the front and centre piller bit's there's 2 bolt hole's(in each piller), what are these for? and does anyone have the bolt's that go in them as her car missin all of them... anyway, that's all for now, i'l update as and when/if anything happen's
McRic
Looks a good base. I'm sure the bolt holes are for a roof rack believe it or not. Check out the handbook

PeeWee
Those holes on my pillar have alan key black bolts in them, I thought they were to hold the plastic trim to the pillar? Always been on mine & never removed them so not sure what else they might be.Nice car, will look good with ideas you have.To get a rough idea look at mine as it has the front/rear lights your thinking of. TC-DNB
Yea I'm sure the bolts are to hold the plastic on. I've got 1 out of the 4 snapped off for some reason. I didn't notice when I bought it and thought someone had tried breaking into it (which they may well have been). And yes they're Allen key bolts. I am selling smoked rear lights for cheap. The rubber is a little perished but the lights themselves are good. And section cut out to fit cabriolet as slighty different to standard escorts. Nice base, mod plans sound sensible. Black angel lights FTW
Danzetec
Looks good Tez, my other half had a cabriolet The bolt points are for a (very rare!) roof rack and have little plastic allen bolt caps that screw in, they aren't very strong so don't do them up too tight

Cheers for good comments, sure shel be chuffed when she reads this. Changed the discs and pads onit today, and thought it would be abit rude if I didn't fit the new wheels at the same time http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m106/tezmanian_devil/b9a85060.jpghttp://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m106/tezmanian_devil/e4a8eac3.jpghttp://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m106/tezmanian_devil/20dfe610.jpg there late saph 4x4 cosworth (shark tooth) alloys, they could do with a refurb idealy, but theyl do for now, look pretty good IMO.Really need to lower it a tad though! ScORTED
I'd say the battle scars on the front bumper are more pressing than lowering it!
