JC
Have a look at prosport ones, when I did my research I found them to be the best, and cheapest imported off ebay
RobMk6
Will check now, gonna need somewhere to mount it too also, anybody know the diameter of any water pipes to mount it in? thinking of putting it in the heater pipes as they tend to warm first these any good? shawdreamer
I used one of these types for a couple of weeks before buying a tach/water temp combined one from the same company. worked perfectly, looked snazzy, still relatively new to the market so remain cheap and came with sender, various sender reducers and most importantly english feckin instructions clicky all you need do is buy the appropriate tee piece for your conection point Edited January 6, 2011 by shawdreamer

RobMk6
Tidy job, will maybe get me some of those where have you mounted/fitted your sensor/sender which pipe?
shawdreamer
Tidy job, will maybe get me some of those where have you mounted/fitted your sensor/sender which pipe? The original first one to the rad bottom pipe as close as I dared to the block. but I figured that was just more work than it needed to be one the second one (plus Id replaced the rad pipe)and went for the matrix feed (again as close to the block as possible) which you mentioned. It worked quite well as the sender that comes with it doesn't unduly obstruct the pipe itself (its thinner and shorter than what Id used before)
RobMk6
I'll prob use a matrix feed then or whichever would seem to be the place with a most reliable truth of engine temps. What about pillar pods? are they pretty much universal? obv measurements for witdth etc, I'm wanting ones that will be as flush as possible. after a tripple, or maybe 2 doubles

What about pillar pods? are they pretty much universal? obv measurements for witdth etc, I'm wanting ones that will be as flush as possible. after a tripple, or maybe 2 doubles pillar pods are typically designed for the standardized size of smaller gauges, which is 52mm usually. the one I linked you too is a 52mm and so will nearly most all you see on ebay (unless stated otherwise obviously), the only exception to that rule are Tachometer(Revs) or Speedo's which are normally larger for obvious reasons
RobMk6
no no, i mean the fit to the pillar, I kno about the size of the gauges etc. pillar measurements I was on about
shawdreamer
no no, i mean the fit to the pillar, I kno about the size of the gauges etc. pillar measurements I was on about If you mean "do all pods fit all cars" then the answer is no. there are universals flying about that in theory are adaptable to all angle's of pillar and inner trim size.....but the theory rarely lives up to its claims in reality. the more popular and common the car however, the more likely you are of finding purpose molded pods.......... which is why you can find just about feckin anythin for a escort. RobMk6
aye!! I've been lookin but the price of the pod seems to cost more than the gauges I'm basically after an alarm/rcl kit and gauges and pod for a total of £80 Edited January 6, 2011 by RobMk6
