shifty
Come up well, black looks great when clean. Ive used that Megs #1 and found it ok if i did a small section at a time, swirl removal is a waste of time with out a machinee polisher tbh. RobMk6
Got a bit busy with the oily bits today: Got rid of the horrible old $hit, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01785.jpg Nicely refilled with some lovely fresh oil, New oil filter. Shiny new Fuel filter:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01786.jpg Whatever knobend ford engineer decided that was a good place to put the fuel filter every one I've done has been a nightmare. Also had to check out the driverside driveshaft as its spewing grease, however, there is no sign of any wear or splits, so gonna need to take the whole thing out and inspect. Couple shots of the underside, all nice and clean http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01780.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01781.jpg Then one to show how clean/straight/rot free the sills are http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01782.jpg Also finished this off, but not had the time to fit it yet, hoping to be done by the weekend http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01788.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01768.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01772.jpg Edited May 5, 2011 by RobMk6

RobMk6
Just wants a good oil bath that chassis! Gonna be getting a thick ol' coat of underseal either this weekend or next week. Marc, I was trying to angle the gauges, but after a month of hunting for the correct size 'pod' to mount them in I gave up and flush fitted them. Oh and the two outer gauges are just temporary until I get new ones
RobMk6
Been playing again Ingredients: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01791.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01792.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01788.jpg Method: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01793.jpg Result:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01794.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/robmk6/My%20Cars/Black%20Mk6%20GTi%203%20Door/DSC01795.jpg Obviously its faaar from finished as only one gauge is hooked up as I'm still waiting for parts to complete my auxiliary fusebox fitment,The switches all need to be hooked up and the blanking plate that will sit where the head unit should be drilled for the switches, Then something rigged up to make the movement of the heater controls look oem. The change of head unit has sort of solved the reason why I made that dash in the first place but hey Thoughts and opinions pleaseRob
bad ass cossie
did you have to modify to get the gauges to fit or did they just drop right in?.
