After envying Stu's setup I realised I posted pics of my system, but never after I did the cable management.

still need to upgrade from the OEM cooler and my cheap non modular PSU

For CPU cooling, I can't recommend these enough!

I've got an Intel Core2Duo sat here, slightly overclocked (~2.33Ghz clocked to ~2.50Ghz) which never goes more than 1-2c over the case temp.

They support anything from a P4/Celeron (775) to I7's (even modern AMD setups).

On PWM they barely audible. On full they sound like a quiet 120mm fan... :thumb:

Nice looking setup by the way... Might have to upload a few shots of my "now outdated" builds... :pancake:

I was going to get a titan fenrir as they were the cooler of the moment when i built my pc but they seem to have died out. are thos freezer 7s that good though? they seem very cheap

I did fit one to a customers pc once at his request but i didn't think anything good or bad about it

Deceivingly so, they provide mega cooling for the price! :thumb:

Have a look at some reviews online!

Ive just fitted one of those to my dual core Pentium, and using the fan speed controller on the Speedfan program you can make it near inaudible and it was still idling at 33c, great cooling at low speeds and its cheap as chips, a world away from my previous Cooler Master unit in terms of noise.

I originally bought it for a Pentium D 930 (dual core/die ~3.0Ghz) which sat at 65-70c idle on a correctly fitted, stock 775 Intel cooler... with the Freezer 7 Pro it sat at 35-40c idle on PWM (CPU/Board controlled fan speed).

It only whispers at full wack also...

That Pentium D is now in my media centre and the Freezer 7 Pro didn't fit the case (full height HTPC case... 2-3cm thinner than a normal full-ATX case) so I've slapped a Coolermaster Vortex Plus on it...

http://www.2dayblog.com/images/2010/april/vortexplus_1.jpg

It currently idles around 45c... and the Cooler master was £10 more than the Artic Cooling...

Looking at replacing that Cooler Master with a Artic Cooling HTPC solution as the reviews on the Freezer 7 LP (HTPC version of the Pro) seem to suggest its better than the Vortex which will help keep it controlled under load.

Im not keen on that flat OEM style coolers, they exhaust all of the dissipated heat back into the case where as the like of the freezer 7 you could have an exhaust fan..

Cable management looks tidy though! :) I think one of my future upgrades will be a case with better cable management :)
