Posted February 14, 201113 yr Kings Speech:Looks pish. I watched most of the BAFTAs last night where the film won just about everything it was nominated for. However, without seeing it, my review is that it looks gash and you shouldn't bother watching. Recently I have seen - The LosersRedShutter IslandGet him to the GreekThese are all very good. I watched A History Of Violence, which is decent, but has a daft ending. Iron Man 2 was ding. The first was much better.I watched Machete as well, and it was wank. February 14, 201113 yr Mrs and future mother-in-law went to see this... They rated it highly. It does appear to be a "let's pretend to be high class and fake our understanding of the wording" type chick flick... Anything beyond "buuurrp, VROOOM, Get-thy-tits-out-forsooth, crash, explosion, ninja-mudda-fucka" isn't a movie as far as I'm concerned...
February 14, 201113 yr Get-thy-tits-out-forsooth,Where is this from i can't put my finger on it!!Lee Evans... Edited February 14, 201113 yr by smithyandco
February 14, 201113 yr Got a copy from our local friendly chinese deeveedee distributor. Was a decent performance from Firth if you like that sort of thing. More one for the thespian luvvies though i think, because Beverly Hills cop 2 it aint...
February 14, 201113 yr I've heard The King's Speech is completely overrated. The Fighter is a good film though, saw that recently.
February 14, 201113 yr As apparently the only person here who has seen the film, i can say it is actually quite good, and surprisingly funny.

February 15, 201113 yr Author Sadly for you, gents, it's only my opinion that counts. I watched The Town with Ben Affleck last night (he's in the film, I didn't watch it with him....). Good film, if predictable. It has a fair bit of shooting and some car chases. It's based in Charlestown, Boston, where everyone mumbles instead of speaking. This might be authentic, though. AC Milan vs Spurs tonight so no film review. You might get my definitive view on Social Network if I watch it on Wednesday.
February 15, 201113 yr Sid, can we please have a full review and analysis of Inception, including your opinion on the ending? As ever, you will be graded on spelling and punctuation. Opinions that differ from mine will also be frowned upon.
February 15, 201113 yr Author I've got it, but haven't watched it. I was told you have to pay attention so can't really view it while getting drunk. Due to this fact, it could be some time until I supply the forum with a review. Oh, I watched Faster with the Rock and Billy Bob Thornton. Good film. I like these one man revenge mission films though. Highly recommended. Edited February 15, 201113 yr by PeeWee
February 15, 201113 yr Having also watched The Town last night, albeit not with sidrick, I can agree wholeheartedly with his description. The cast descends in to indecipherable mumbles every so often, and the plot is so cliche that it may make your eyes bleed. Overall, though, it works as perfectly good entertainment. Inception I think was my film highlight of last year, unless I can think of another one I preferred from last year.
February 15, 201113 yr I liked The Wrestler, good film. Here's another short film review: Funny People. Could have been better, too much time spent on going nowhere, time which could have been better used, Eric Bana was very good. Edited February 15, 201113 yr by PeeWee
